I visited Shenandoah Family Dentistry after waking up at 3 A.M. in the morning with my entire face throbbing from pain. I called in not long after they opened at 7 A.M. I spoke to Ashley at the front desk, who asked how soon could I come in.... Really? I was actually being asked when I could get in. Much to my surprise, I blurted out, uh 9 A.M., she explained that 9 was fine and to come on in. I ran into a few delays along the way, but called to see if they'd still see me. Ashley assured me it was fine and I arrived at 9:30 A.M. Let me tell you all.... I walked into an experience.... I was meant with a refreshing welcoming aroma with a tastefully decorated spacious waiting area. The registration process was painless and the wait was minimal. I was called back by Dental Assistant, Kari who gave me a brief tour of the facility and presented me with a gift at the end of my tour. (super nice touch, thank you) As I waited, I enjoyed the heated massage dental chair. Kari took my x-rays with such care - she knew my mouth just hurt!!!! Everything was explained to me and I verbally answered a quick questionnaire, which gave the dentist (Dr Pell) a little more insight as to how to proceed with me personally. Dr. Pell was friendly, easy to communicate with and quite efficient. I actually believed him, when he said he'd help to get me comfortable. He reviewed the x-rays, came up with a plan, ran it past me and it's now scheduled to be executed..... tomorrow!! Who would have thought? I sure didn't. After speaking to the dentist and scheduling my appointment, Tanni (sorry, I probably spelled it wrong) walked me down around the corner to the billing department. There I was introduced to Dottie, the office manager. She provided the icing on the cake as she reviewed costs and insurance. She was professional, competent, didn't mix words and looked you straight in the eye. I appreciated her helpfulness in figuring out the issue with my insurance. I walked in clueless about my dental insurance, but walked out with an account number and the details I needed. I just want to say, thank you Shenandoah Family Dentistry for a positive, professional, not often heard of awesome customer service experience. Thank you.
