While people cannot agree whether or not coconut oil is good to ingest, there is no doubt that it is good for the outside of your body. It is a fantastic moisturizer, and it also can brighten your smile. Before you brush your teeth, put about a tablespoon in your mouth and swish it around for about 30 seconds. Then spit it out and brush like normal.
Apples Eating an apple can provide your teeth with a quick brightening boost. That is because the apple will actually clean your teeth as you eat it. A firm apple is best, if you eat one that is a bit on the mushy side you will not get the same benefit.
If you want to cleanse your teeth, but do it gently, brush with baking soda. It is abrasive enough that it will remove some of the excess, but not so rough that it will damage your teeth. Wet your toothbrush, then add a healthy amount of baking soda. You will want to brush with your normal toothpaste immediately after.
